Don't Buy Into These "Trends" Concerning Greenpower Mobility

Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower designs and builds, as well as distributes a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. This includes transit buses, school buses, as cargo buses and shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable, zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America compliant. It offers class-leading range, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete line of heavy- and medium-duty all-electric vehicles, including lower-floor and high-floor models. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and it can be customized to suit a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a simple sheet of paper, which allows for optimum positioning of the battery pack and a lower center of gravity. This results in better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The refrigerated trucks in class 4 with a single wall structure inside and higher insulation than conventional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer service life. The EV Star REEFERX has a higher capacity for cargo and an industry-leading payload to allow for zero emission goods or passenger transportation.

GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems, which will enable fleets to transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We had the opportunity to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local highway and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can be used to block the sound of traffic and wind driving along the highway. It is smooth on bumps and ruts. The acceleration is quite fast and the car has adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by simply lifting the accelerator.

The EV9 offers a great range and can be charged in just three hours or less at home, or using any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode is a great way to increase the power and cruise control, as well as handling, while sport mode increases speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and provide an unforgettable experience for those who have never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, such as a multi-purpose, all-electric minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, transit or micro-transit vanpool, bus or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star buses per month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric cars. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration, which is looking to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.  mobility power  will be following the AV Star as it goes on its public demonstration tour the coming months. We will be sure to give more details about this innovative EV!
